PingMee is a location-based social app for meeting people around you right now. You set a status saying what you are up to, see other people nearby who are open to the same thing, and send them a ping. If they ping you back, you have matched and a private chat opens for the two of you.
It is built for three goals, and you choose which ones you are open to: making friends, dating and professional networking. Discovery is filtered by that choice, so you are not sorted into a queue you never asked to join.
Nobody sees your exact location — PingMee shows approximate distance only, and your coordinates are never shared with other users. Nothing private opens up until both people have pinged. You can hide yourself from searches at any time, and block or report anyone in two taps.
